A surprise: there is no server side checkin policy evaluation!
A new task for myself: should not underestimate the power of extending/customizing of vsts.
We saw a true CC solution - the change set’s owner, that broke the build, got a task to fix it. Wow. And it was just about 3 pages of customization code.
Currently there is no web interface for vsts - but it should be not a big deal. But… To think about the problem - you debug your bug report web system - brrr.

Didn’t like that, skipped it, in half an hour just discovered a handwritten lexer/parser, and some basic reflection emit thing… didn’t seem like getting on the ride fast enough

There were a lot of new things demoed at the keynote:
* Atlas (nothing brand new, LiveControls just reclothed)
* Avalon tricks (sh*t, I need to buy a new gfx card). You may stack up windows, play multiple videos in 3d view through a webpage, etc.
* Office12 - that’s cooool, guy, that’s really cool. Redesigned menus, many coloring functions, many ways to change a repeating task to one click.
* Vista, Vista, Vista
* Some cool gag videos
* Windows SideShow - a new small platform. You may run gadgets on your PC while it is switched off.
* No whidbey things, no yukon things, no pathfinder things…
